summer wassup-dates

it’s been a busy stretch since i returned from europe in may, opening up for the legendary EARTH. So, i’ll briefly brief you.

Back in june, i did a week long stint at the Burlington Jazzfest with Simon Lott and Justin Peake. we made some real special music. the only real documentation was a i-video that showed us playing under a disco ball and with smoke machine, @ a pizza place. soon to be an internet phenomenon

And since then ive been knee-deep in recording some new music, which im really pumped about.
__Seequill is still workong on our second record, “Social Life”, that should be done by the end of the summer._____Scrambler just recorded a live-overdubbed, “one shot” record for Engine Records (to be released in November)
I’ve also been playing a bunch with my new”ish” trio Second Wind, with drummer tommy crane and bassist Simon Jermyn. We are planning to record in the fall»
as far as the not too distant future… Im playing two shows with The inBetweens this week in NYC i wanted to let yall know about.we are, in fact recording a new album on wed and making our maiden voyage to EUROPE this fall.

A group that started at an annual engagement held in New Orleans during mardi-gras weekend in 2009, simply called the NOT SO SUPER HERO, SUPER HERO party. New orleans drummer Simon lott, along with NYC’s guitarist mike gamble, and NOLA’s laptop artist Justin Peake stepped on stage and morphed into an ultimate freaky jazz-dance unit. …And they have been cold-rockin the party ever since! Now they are bringing the sound to the NYC and the Burlington jazzfest. Come join them, even if it’s just in spirit»»

DECEMBER HAPPS

Hello friends of the internet,

Some Seequill happs this week. »»

<(not necessarily in chronological order)>

i’ll let the DELI NYC explain»»

“Pysch rock quartet Seequill release new lo-fi music video for their track “Rest For Now”. In typical Seequill style the video was shot on the day of a full moon and during a blizzard. A band full of sonic surprises, ethereal atmospheres, crunchy distorted beats, sudden reggae-ish breaks, zappian guitar solos, weird samples and loops coexist in a unique hodgepodge of music influences. They play this Sunday December 12th at Littlefield in Brooklyn with Birds & Batteries from San Francisco, Tallest Trees from Nashville, and locals Elastic Summer. -
